■「海・陸・氷床から探る後期新生代の南極寒冷圏環境変動」
-第三回極域科学シンポジウム横断セッション-のお知らせ

国立極地研究所では，11月に開催の極域科学シンポジウムにおきまして，下記の特別国際セッションを開催します．
関係する幅広い研究分野からのご参加をお待ちしております．また，周りにご興味をお持ちの方がいらっしゃいましたら，ご案内いただければ幸いです．入場無料・事前申込不要です．

概要
地球システム変動において重要な役割を果たしている南極寒冷圏の環境変動，特に南極周極流・Gyreの発達と南極氷床変動の相互作用に関連する気候・氷床モデル，古環境学，海洋学など幅広い研究分野から発表を募ります．そして，これまでの研究成果を総括し，将来の掘削計画等を含む今後の研究の方向性を探ることを目的とします．

会期：平成24年11月26日（月）～27日（火）の2日間
会場：国立国語研究所（国立極地研究所から徒歩数分）
